Christine Wildeman, MD

In becoming a board certified integrative medical physician, my passion is helping you achieve optimal health and well-being through healing the whole you with a personalized assessment and treatment plan that combines the best of conventional and complementary medicine.

I grew up in a rural Iowa town and pursued my dream of becoming a doctor so I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I attended Buena Vista University, where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. I then went on to medical school at the University of Iowa and then completed a three year family practice residency at CRMEF and received my board certification in family practice in 1999. I graduated from the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine in La Jolla, CA with a two year fellowship degree in Integrative medicine. I also received my board certification in Integrative Medicine through ABPS in 2020.

I have enjoyed a twenty year career in primary care with experience ranging from inpatient and outpatient family medicine to the emergency room and lead a team of therapists, nurses, dietitians and social workers while serving as a medical director in a rehabilitation hospital. Throughout my medical career, I have loved helping patients heal and from their illness/injury, but have become frustrated with the state of our current conventional health care system. I realized the focus had shifted into more of an “ill care” system and away from a meaningful health care system. I was no longer able to spend the appropriate amount of time with patients in order to get to the root cause of their illness. Instead, I was rewarded for seeing as many patients as possible, no matter the quality of care I provided.

This is why I decided to step out of that system and create Panacea Integrative Medicine, a true integrative medical practice that focuses on treating the disease process at its root cause while creating health & well-being through healing your body & mind and helping you reconnect to your spiritual purpose in life. Panacea means a solution for any difficulty or a remedy for any disease. As a physician, wife and mother I have personally observed the positive impact of an integrated approach to healing and believe that with the right panacea, we can work together to restore the healthy & youthful you.
